In your heart of hearts, you say. Deep down inside us there is all that dark space. For some it is a bright space - they are the lucky bastards who attempt the impossible and achieve. Fate rests a rainbow-lit path for them. And for the rest of us, there are the shadows, the darkness, the torrent-blown road into our lives. And still, for some reason, we choose to endure.
I've always wondered what idiot came up with the cliche' "Better to have loved and lost, to have never loved at all." If anything is bullshit, that is. I'd much rather go on wondering, go on in an apathetic state, than deal with the pain associated with the happy memories we are left with, the knowledge that, having felt that bliss once, will never again.
I can only symathize with your pain. I wish I could heal.

(Neon genesis evangelion is a manga-serie which was written by someone who was really depressed and so is the main character... It's a wonderful serie)
